Key West Walkabout
Got to be quick because while the resort in Orlando charged out the butt for wifi the Disney ship has truly taken it to another level of piracy. Pulled into Key West today with Dragonwife and Wiggles going off to see a butterfly garden. That left me free to do a walkabout/ bar crawl.
Made it all the way down to the most southern point on the continental United States but the line at the red and black buoy was far too long to even consider waiting for a picture. Instead did a picture at the southernmost house then walked on the nearby beach. Nothing much to talk about except I was the oldest dude there which was uncomfortable and depressing in a way.I remember a time when hot young babes asked how's it going. Now all they ask is how things were. Middle age is starting to be a bummer.
After that I made my way to the Green Parrot, Blue Heaven, and several other places but it all rather fuzzy now. Internet provider is freaking out and will have to sign off. I apologize for not dropping by the usual places but will get back to everyone as soon as possible
You probably are in Key West just for a short stop, so I won't be able to give you my long list of places you should take pictures of. Dang. Well, that just means I have to go back there myself.
Hope you are enjoying yourself - we don't want you to experience any of that stomach virus stuff that had another cruise ship returning early to Tampa last week!
I can relate to the middle aged thing. I used to look at guys if not actually flirt with them but now I'm too busy to care or bother with all that. :~P
There are definitely places where it's a good thing to be the "elder statesman". I can just imagine, however, that....you on a beach in Key West clearly isn't one of them. Unfortunately.
Pixel: Had a great a great time! We just stayed ten hours and then moved out toward Grand Cayman. Avoided all stomach bugs but I do not want to know how much weight I have gained because of the food.
Liberality: Still had a great time even though I am entering old fart territory.
Windsmoke: Found myself hanging out in the ship's coffee house, but to be fair there were plenty of MILFS.
Bill: Yeah, it was a chilly 65 degrees in Key West that day. Didn't learn about all the snow back here until I watched the news Friday night for the first time since the cruise started.
B.E. Earl: Great places, I just wish I could have stayed a little longer.
Mike: The only ice I had to deal with in Key West was in my Margarita.
Randal: Dude, it was prime ogling territory!
Vigil: LOL!!! I can still pull off the cool Bruce Campbell look. The chicks dig that.
Will: There was an awesome older chick in the Green Parrot that I had a great conversation with, she was in her late 50's but looked in her 40's. Then her grand daughter came in and made me wish to be in my 20's again. She was drop dead gorgeous!
John: I'll be back Monday night with all my bells and whistles and ready to work.
Middle age? oh Beach, when you are young of heart than that doesn't show. I see that you had a great time. looks like a cool place. I went to a butterfly garden as well in the holidays. Just a small one though. The one mrs wiggles went too would probably be bigger.
Lime: I liked that photo as well. Have a bunch more of Key West and will get around to posting a few of them. There is one I really like of local art that will surely upset some people.
Some of ya'll just have all the fun! :) ... Look's great on the weather side too! I havent been to the Key's in year's, since back when I stayed briefly in the City of Miami (beautiful and colorful town at that).

Hot young babes are a distant memory for me to. It's more like old boilers these days ha, ha, ha.
Good. A Steve Goodman line in the second paragraph.
I's 25 degrees here & it's been snowing for the past five hours. Enjoy "paradise".
Blue Heaven and The Green Parrot...two of my favorite places in the world!
Me = jealous!
Yeah well, I went for a ice ride yesterday. Try doing that in Key West.
It's currently snowing, but I can't say I wouldn't temporarily trade that for some hot babe ogling.
You think "Middle age is starting to be a bummer"? Jeeeeeez....
There are definitely places where it's a good thing to be the "elder statesman". I can just imagine, however, that....you on a beach in Key West clearly isn't one of them. Unfortunately.
Just a bit of reality: Unless you hit the lottery I expect you to be back at work next week.
You are in shorts and a t-shirt! I am totally jealous! It's heavy coats, scarves, hats and gloves for us over here. Enjoy it!

Marja: I try to keep young at heart but all the old farts seem to try and bring me down.
that last shot is kind of funny...as long as you're not the one being peeped upon.
as for the hot young babes...if it's any consolation they loose it one day too...
