Bunch of Good Old Boys and Girls
Had to borrow this from Hillblogger even though I have stayed away from politics recently since my "cringe factor", as Kathleen Parker called it, had up and died long ago over all the crap coming from the Republicans. It's a unfiltered look at old dirty fears and astronomical ignorance that McCain and Palin have been playing with in their blind ambition to get to the White House. Much has been said recently about how favorable it is looking for Obama/Biden right now with the polls leaning their way. But don't pop the cork on the champaign just yet, if people become complacent all these friends of old Sara's could still put her a heart beat away from the Oval Office.
I have always like Obama, but during the primaries I didn't support him at all because I was afraid that he would bring out the wingnuts in force and we really can't afford another republican regime. I hope to Christ he wins, but I am still fearful of the outcome.
ya know, i have already decided i will be doing a write in vote because i don't particularly care for obama or mccain but that sort of racism and blatant misinformation that is being spread about obama makes me absolutely cringe. and i do fear that if he wins some racist lunatic is going to go after him.
Lime a write-in vote will satisfy no one but yourself. There are two major candidates and your vote will only count if you vote for one of them, preferably Obama. Regardless everyone has to drive their own train.
Beach Utah mentions fivethirtyeight and she is right. There you will find an Obama win a mathematical certainty. That notwithstanding however, those of us who support Barack still need to remain vigilant and still need to do what we can to make certain that as many as possible get out and vote. Complacency is anathema to the campaign.
Mike: I am as well, he has my support one hundred percent but the wingnuts are crawling out from the rocks and walls. I pray his secret service detachment is up to the stuff.
Utah: Looking forward to that writers group you mentioned at your site. Thanks for the award and I as far as the election is concerned I'll just be happy when its over. With Obama in the White House, of course.
Vigil: I must admit that while I've heard people say similar things that was said in that video here in South Carolina I had a hard time coming to terms with others out of this states saying the stuff.
V: Thanks, and tell others on you side of the big blue marble America is trying to change for the better.
Randal: Ohio has very far to fall before its gets to some of the stuff we do in this state.
Lime: Like I wrote above I hope his Secret Service detail is up to the challenge.
MadMike: Its looking good, but I agree with Randal that Dieboldization or some other more traditional skulduggery is always possible.
C Rag: After watching that video I've thought the same thing as well as wondering if the human race is ultimately doomed because in general its just plain stupid.
This clip sickened me. Unfortunately, there's a lot of people that think that way in this country.
Yes, complacency is dangerous, especially when all we can do is blather about Killa's clothes. I am seriously fed up with this nonsense. Who cares?
If the Rethugs think $150,000 is a good investment while their campaign is close to bankrupt, all the better. I'm on a rant about this clothes nonsense, as Madmike knows.
Let's stick to the issues rather than the non-issues. I'm with you 100% beach: don't pop the cork on the champaign just yet.
BTW, randall, don't sweat it. One District in your state elected Dennis Kucinich. You're absolutely right: Any state within 5—points is ripe for Dieboldization. Or, perhaps, ESS-ization?
Mike, you're absolutely right. Complacency is anathema to the campaign. Call a friend and make sure they get out and vote. Ask your friend to call another friend.
Keshi: I hope we her in America start by electing Obama and break with our behavior over the last eight years.
Stella: With all that money Palin and her clan or klan had to throw away all she could do was buy Michael Jackson's old red leather jacket from the thriller video.
MadMike: All I can say is thanks and say that your site is far ahead of anything I do.
Oh god, now she's back again. You must think that when you see me here. And you're probably still sick. But there is a writer's meme going the rounds. It's a writer's exercise. If you have the energy, check it out. Randal's done it, Diva's done it. It originated with The Ubermilf. All linked at my site.
Utah: You know you are welcome at my site anytime. And I've checked out the writing exercise and I will be hot on it tomorrow. Looks like a fantastic trip.
I'm feeling better but Dragonwife caught the bug I had and is getting over it. Wiggles has been acting clingy lately and if not for the new dog, Sparky, would not allow me any free time at all. Spoilboy's social life is going at warp speed and on the weekends is hardly home.
It speaks volumes to Obama's character that he would put his life on the line to make change. I can't believe that poor and middle-classed white America doesn't see how they're getting fucked by Bush/Republicans/Corporate America.
The true terrorists rely on lies about their running mates to carry them to office. Fuckers.
Sara: I can't believe that poor and middle-classed white America doesn't see how they're getting fucked by Bush/Republicans/Corporate America.
That is something I have been pondering myself. The best I can come up with is the idea that White America that votes republican is deathly scared that someone will take away their blessed lifestyle. Republicans talk nice about expanding the pie for everyone but from my observations only the rich and very rich are getting a bigger pie while Mr. and Mrs. Middleclass are working two jobs and living primarily off credit cards and easy financing to keep what pie they have and the working class and poor are losing altogether.

He's going to wipe the floor with the wingnuts. http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/
Check out the five thirty eight site above. It might calm your fears a bit.
Oh, and I have another award for you Beach.
Yeah, I'm with you, beach, all the way. No premature celebrations. Michelle Obama is right.
my best wishes are with obama.Hope he wins :D
How come all these damn videos are from Ohio? My state is even dumber than I had previously realized.
utah, you're far too optimistic. Any state within 5 points is ripe for Dieboldization.
